I had the pleasure of photographing Brad Jefferies, a radio personality from North Carolina, and his wife during their vacation in the Bahamas. Brad had been planning this shoot for a while, and I was happy he reached out to me. He did his research and chose Cabbage Beach on Paradise Island for their session — a great choice for a beautiful and relaxed setting.
We met on the beach in the late afternoon when the light was just right. Brad and his wife were warm and kind from the start. At first, Brad was a little stiff in front of the camera, which is totally normal. But after a few laughs and some simple direction, he relaxed. Eventually, he even unbuttoned his shirt a bit and really started to enjoy the moment. His love for his wife showed clearly, and it made the shoot that much more special.
As a vacation photographer in Paradise Island, my goal is to make every couple feel comfortable while capturing the true energy between them. That’s exactly what happened with Brad and his wife. We took portraits by the water, walked along the shoreline, and even caught a few playful splashes. They were both dressed for the occasion — Brad in a floral shirt and his wife in a soft purple gown — and the colors really popped against the blue sky and ocean.
After the shoot, I gave them a ride back to their hotel, the Warwick Paradise Island. We chatted along the way and connected over stories and laughs. By the end of the day, I didn’t just have new photos to edit — I had made two new friends.
Whether you’re visiting the Bahamas for the first time or returning for another escape, Cabbage Beach is a perfect spot for a beach photo session. If you’re looking to book a vacation photographer in Paradise Island, I’d love to help capture your special moments, just like I did for Brad and his wife.
