Red Delta Sorority Sisters Shine on Junkanoo Beach

A milestone celebration beautifully captured by cruise photographer Nassau, Al Rahming

Rekisha Rhyan with her University of Tennessee sorority sisters posing in black swimsuits with red sarongs on Junkanoo Beach, Nassau, Bahamas during a reunion cruise in April 2024, captured by cruise photographer Nassau Al Rahming.

About a month before their ship set sail, Rekisha reached out to me, cruise photographer Nassau, with all the details for her sorority’s milestone celebration. She painted a vivid picture of the personalities in the group, the moments she wanted captured, and the bonds that tied them together. She was absolutely right about the sister with the short blonde hair — she reminded me so much of my Aunt Helen. The youngest of the crew? She was clearly the one calling the shots, and I made sure to give her a little extra attention.

When their cruise docked in Nassau, I met the ladies right at the port and guided them to beautiful Junkanoo Beach, just minutes away. From the first click of the camera, I could see the joy, elegance, and connection they shared. With so many women who loved the camera and small groups within the group sharing inside jokes, it was the perfect blend of a classic reunion and a vibrant beach photography session.

Congratulations to the Red Delta Sorority Sisters on this milestone — and thank you, Rekisha, for trusting me, Al Rahming, to capture memories you’ll cherish for years.

Al, Al, Al, what an amazing and personable photographer. My Sorority sisters and I were visiting the island via cruise ship and needed a photographer to capture some photos for us celebrating our anniversary while visiting. I googled photographers in the Bahamas area and Al's business page caught my eye with his amazing work displayed. He did not disappoint! We chatted for weeks leading up until the trip and he always responded quickly to any questions asked. Al and his assistant was so hands on and captured every essence of our group with his beautiful eye. If you're ever in the area and need a photographer, look no further cause Al is your guy. You will not be disappointed. If and when I'm visiting the island again, I will be contacting Al to capture more memories.
